You must have run marathons in Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Bangalore. This AUTUMN In the citrus city of Abohar, The Jakhar Trust welcomes you to the 6th Abohar Marathon.
Situated on the confluence of Pakistan, Rajasthan and Haryana we welcome thousands of athletes of all calibers and great enthusiasm to participate in this event annually.
This marathon provides athletes with an unparalleled running experience in the month of November, the cool morning air engulfs one with the aroma of citrus wafting through orchards laden with tangy kinnows which gives a boost of energy instead of exhaustion. The unique culture of this border city will enchant you with the glimpses of the vanishing culture of undivided India, our living Heritage, while the retreat ceremony held every evening at the Sadqi border will engulf you in national pride.
The Marathon is on a mission to get youth moving by participating in sports and team activities keeping them away from drugs. We provide this platform to help youth adopt an active lifestyle and learn how being active can improve their entire well-being. Research shows that when children participate in Marathons, they have a better chance of getting the recommended amount of daily physical activity. That's good news for their bodies and minds. When youth feel healthy, they perform better in school, think more clearly, and improve their attitude/behaviour. So we made our program fee, nominal, so all children can participate.

In order to collect the Marathon Kit from the Marathon Expo- Old Ladies Club, Adjoining Nehru Park, Near Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, Abohar-152116 Punjab (Wednesday, 12th November to Saturday, 15th November 2025), first-come, first-served basis. Confirmed participants residing Near Abohar are requested to collect your Marathon Kit across the 12th and 13th November, allowing time slots available on 15th November for outstation participants to collect their Marathon Kit.no marathon kit will be given to Anyone on Race Day.
Confirmed 21 km, 10 km, 5 km men and women participants will receive a race day t-shirt at the Bib Collection Center within the Marathon Expo (Old Ladies Club). We will try our best to accommodate the tee size selected by you. However, if unavailable, the next best available size tee will be offered. Any requests for changes in sizes/colour will not be entertained. Please note that no race day tee will be couriered to anyone pre- or post-event.
All finishers of the 21k, 10k , 5k race category will get the finisher medal post their run on race day (please collect your medal before leaving the venue; medals will not be posted to individual runners). While provisional results will be available by 5 pm on race day, timing certificates of 21k, 10k finishers will be available for download from https://runizen.com/e.
