Border Security Force (BSF) is organizing 5th edition of the Bordermen Marathon , with theme # Hand In Hand with border population # in Amritsar on February 22nd, 2026 (Sunday).
Border Security Force (BSF) is organizing 5th edition of the Bordermen Marathon , with theme # Hand In Hand with border population # in Amritsar on February 22nd, 2026 (Sunday).
This landmark event aims to promote national unity, fitness, and community engagement with border populations. Building on the success of its previous four editions, which saw over 5,000 participants last year, This time it is expected to host over 8000 to 10000 runners.
A significant social goal is the inclusion of the local community, with approximately 2,000 men and women from the border region are anticipated to participate. This large-scale involvement is key to empowering the border population and encouraging their participation in mainstream Indian athletics. This marathon events promotes and adds to FIT INDIA campaign of Govt of India

Half Marathon -(21.097 Km) Starting point War memorial , India Gate, Amritsar at 0600 Hrs
10 km Run Starting point last toll of India near village Lahori Mal, Attari Road , Amritsar at 0630 Hrs
All the races will finish at JCP Attari .

Cut off Timings:-
Participants who complete the Marathons within Cut off timings as mentioned below will be qualified for finisher medals.

Dress for races:
Jersey, Lower pant/shorts and sports shoes will be mandatory attire for all participants. Jersey will be given by the organizers. Temperature ranges from 8 deg C to 15 deg C

Registration is free for force personnel ( Defence, CAPF and State Police) .
Registration is free for women participants, college students and participants of six bordering Districts of Punjab state i e Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarantaran, Ferozpur and Fazilka.

BIBS, Collection :
All registered participants can collect their Bib , Jersey from BSF Sector Headquarters Khasa , AMRITSAR, on 19th to 21st Feb' 26 between 0930 hr to 1800 Hr.
All participants should carry ID card (Adhar card /DL/service ID while collecting their bibs.
After bib collection participants may witness Retreat ceremony at Attari Amritsar from 19th to 21st Feb 2026 as special guest of BSF.

Cash Prize/Medals:-
* Cash Prizes for top five winners in each category of Marathons/Run.
* Additionally attractive prizes will be given to the border area population.
* If Participants in Any Race/Category is less then 10 ,then cash prizes will be redetermined by the organizing committee.
*Any Act of misconduct or wrong doing during the marathon will lead to immediate disqualification.
*In case of any complaint or dispute the matter will be dealt with through a due judicial process and the distribution of prizes will remain withheld until the final resolution of the complaint.
* Additionally attractive prizes will be given to the border area population.
* If Participants in Any Race/Category is less then 10 ,then cash prizes will be redetermined by the organizing committee.
*Any Act of misconduct or wrong doing during the marathon will lead to immediate disqualification.

* Anyone who runs in the wrong category will be disqualified, and the jury will make the final decision in that case.
