STEEL CITY RUN - 2022 (1st Edition)
 
Ballari Cyclists and Runners Foundation (BCRF) was formed with the objective to promote sports and fitness among the public. In accordance with the same, we have planned to organize an annual run in the city, and this would be the 1st edition of the same.
 
Features of the event:
First of its kind event in entire Ballari District
Timed event, with finishers being awarded with customized medals and e-certificates
Straight route, with just one u-turn for return, with minimal elevation of less than 25mtr for 10k distance

Event Date: Sunday, Date: 24th July, 2022
Location: Ballari City (Karnataka)

BIB Collection Venue:
BIB & T-shirt Collection will only happen on 23rd July, between 9:30 AM till 6 PM

Race Categories (with Timing Chip):
5k Run - Max Time Limit 50 Minutes - Minimum age to register is 13+
10k Run - Max Time Limit 100 Minutes - Minimum age to register is 18+
Note: No upper age limit for registrations.
 
Registration Fees:
Nominal registration fees of Rs.200/- for the 5k registrants and Rs.300/- for the 10k registrants, kept with the objective of promoting running as a means of fitness among the public.
 
Registration Period:
Registrations will be open from 11th June 2022 till 10th July 2022 only, or till we hit 1000 registrations (whichever comes first).
No Spot registrations will be available or entertained.

 
All The Registered Participants will get:
- BIB with RFID Timing Chip
- DryFit T-shirt (only if registered before 10th July 2022)
- e-Certificate with Timing (will be sent via e-mail 2 days post run)
- Completion Timing SMS (within 30 minutes post completion of run)
- Customized Finisher Medal (post completion of your run)
- Breakfast and Refreshments After Run
- Prizes to the Winners in each categories
 
Other support during the event:
- Post-run refreshment to all Participants
- On Route Hydration to all Participants
- Photographs / Videography
- Medical support
- Zumba, Cool Down Stretches After Run , Music, Dhol and lot of Fun
- Event photos will be shared post 2-3 days of event date. Details on the same would be posted on our FB / Insta page
 
BIB Collection:

Run Event Timings:
Reporting: 5:15 AM for both 10k and 5k runners
Warmup: From 5:30 AM
Flag Off: 6:15 AM for 10k and 6:30 AM for 5k participants
Closing Ceremony & Prize Distribution: 8:15 AM
 
Rules & Regulations :
  • No visitors or un-registered people will be allowed into the event area.
  • Please do not litter the route. We will have dustbins all along the route.
  • Runners will get Finisher Medal, breakfast & refreshments after finishing their run.
  • Event Photos , Race Result & Timing Certificate will be available for download within 2 days from the event date. Participants will get race result website & photos link updates on their E-mail ID & BCRF Facebook/Instagram Pages
  • Participants need to be atleast 13 years old for participating in 5k runs, and atleast 18 years old for participating in 10k run categories, as on 24th July 2022.
  • Parking area will be marked near the event start place. Baggage counters will not be available though, so plan accordingly. Details on the same would be shared via e-mail and on our Facebook/Instagram Pages.
  • BIBs (chest numbers with RFID) and t-shirts will be distributed to the participants on 23rd July 2022 at Hotel Bala Regency, Parvathi Nagar main road, Ballari. No requests will be entertained for BIB pickup on the race day. Timings will be updated via e-mail and social media.
  • Any changes in the above will be communicated via e-mail to all the participants.
  • No refunds of registration amount or transfer or cancellation of registration will be entertained.
  • Please call for an ambulance or aid if you ever do feel dizzy or unsteady. Emergency contact numbers will be shared via email at a later date closer to event.
  • Race categories cannot be changed once registered.
  • T-shirt Sizes cannot be changed once registered.
  • Only finishers within the cut-off time will get Finisher Medals
